Well done new_matt!

... and Spain of course.

New_matt is our Euro 2008 Champion after a final week push piled on the points. It's been a fantastic tournament, probably made all the better for its lack of an inevitable crushing disappointment on England's exit.

I hope you all enjoyed played, remember regular Fantasy Football Agent carries on all year at http://www.fantasyfootballagent.com

Here's the final table...

Time for a reshuffle?

Even before the first round of games are complete its looking like I've got to chop and change. I picked Sebastian Frei for my portfolio and while injured players certainly heap the points up (see Fabio Cannevaro for example) they soon start to drop off.

In fact injured players are out-scoring fit players, for today at least. Patrick Vieira posted 13 points more than Ruud van Nistelrooy - expect him to score heavily tomorrow with all the fall-out over the goal that was, that even thought shouldn't have been, but actually should.

So what do we think of the tournament so far? Personally, I've been pleasantly surprised. It's been well contested, if a little light on goals. The only team that hasn't seemed to turn up is France. They looked awful yesterday against Romania - England awful.

Hopefully today we'll get at least one game where both teams score.

Is he worth it?

Cristiano Ronaldo has won pretty much everything this season, and when Zen (our scoring computer) calculated the values for the competition his value was set a mile above everyone else's. So will he be good value for money?

Well if this week is anything to go by - the answer seems a resounding yes! 57 points so far in just 6 days. The speculation of whether or not he'll join Real will run throughout the whole tournament so you can probably expect 8 or more points from him each day.

Sadly, Fabio Cannevaro will be missing from the tournament. Early birds who put him in their team from the start made plenty of points as news of his injury filled the back pages. I'm keeping him in the game but his points return should start to diminish from now. So if you have him in your portfolio it might be time to consider replacing him.

POINTS MEAN PRIZES: The winner of the tournament will be getting a DVD. More news on this as we get it.
